After you do a simple search with Raw Sugar, you can refine your search by clicking on another tag that appears on the side of the screen. Raw Sugar has a hierarchical tag system, so that it will add the secondary tag to your search and look within the first search’s results. Squidoo

With Squidoo, you create a “lens” and become a “lensmaster.” A lens is your own take on a particular topic, sort of like your own mini-webpage, with links to blogs and other websites. The point is that lenses help Squidoo users search; they find your lens on a particular subject and your lens tells them where to look for info.

You can make as many lenses as you’d like, one for each interest, if you want to. There are also ways built into Squidoo that you can make money, “royalties,” from your lenses.

Complore

Complore is all about helping you manage your studies. It’s a resource designed to help you find, share and keep track of information that you find online. Although it was designed with academic research in mind, Complore can be used to save any sites you often visit online.

You can download for free a Complore button that goes on your browser. When you click on this, it automatically saves whatever page you’re looking at. Then, you can go back and tag it with whatever keywords you think will be useful later when you go to find it.

Blinkbits

Blinkbits has a high purpose: to “share the collective wisdom of all mankind.” Sound grandiose? Maybe, but you have to admit that the internet is filled with all kinds of wisdom. That, and spam. But, the wisdom is what’s important for Blinkbits.

Blinkbits is all user-created and edited, and is focused on information. Think of it as a giant online encyclopedia, created by everyday people with certain interests. Users share their “wisdom” with others and a community is created where ideas can be exchanged.
